Eggs, oatmeal and bananas aren’t just great staples of a healthy breakfast, they’re also awesome beautifying treatments that can provide an easy and convenient beauty experience while helping your face look more vibrant and young!  It just makes sense, when you consider, these simple and readily available ingredients (in the below listed recipes) and how they inherently have amazing hydrating, exfoliating and firming powers that surpass commercial brands from both a natural and money-wise perspective.

Egg White Firming Face Mask

When an egg white is combined with cornstarch they becomes a powerful duo that not only firm your skin but also shrink your pores.  For a night out on the town or special occasion, this mask is perfect for looking taut and flawless.

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg white from an organic free-range egg
  • 1 teaspoon of cornstarch

Directions:

  1. Mix egg white and cornstarch in a small bowl.
  2. Whisk until frothy and well combined.
  3. Evenly apply to face and neck using fingertips.
  4. Lie down immediately to avoid the face mask from dripping (as well as to ensure that skin is being firmed in the right direction :) .
  5. Allow mask to dry (18-20 minutes).  Rinse with warm water, lightly pat dry with towel and moisturize as normal.
  6. Do not store any excess.

Banana  Hydrating Face Mask

Not only are bananas wonderful antioxidants, but additionally, both bananas and cream are superb hydrating and moisturizing agents when applied topically to the skin. 

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 of a ripe banana (cut into pieces)
  • Heavy Cream

Directions:

  1. Mash banana pieces in small bowl using a fork.
  2. Add a small amount of the heavy cream to create a paste-like texture.
  3. Evenly apply mask to face and neck.
  4. Lie down immediately and allow mask to rest on skin for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Rinse with warm water and gently pat dry with towel, moisturize as normal.
  6. Do not store excess.

Oatmeal & Buttermilk Exfoliating Face Mask

Oatmeal acts as a wonderfully gentle exfoliant and additionally when combined with buttermilk it also has somewhat bleaching capabilities that is excellent for evening skin tone and removing any undesired redness from the face.

Ingredients:

  • 4 Tablespoons Plain Oatmeal
  • 5 teaspoons buttermilk

Directions:

  1. In coffee bean grinder or blender, grind dry oatmeal.
  2. Pour ground oatmeal into small bowl and add buttermilk.
  3. Mix both together and allow a mixture to set for 3 minutes until a workable paste forms.
  4. Apply to face and neck using fingertips, lie down and allow to set for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Rinse with warm water, gently pat dry with towel and moisturize as normal.
  6. Do not store excess.
