Extra Virgin Olive (Olea Europaea) Oil: The exceptional fatty acid profile of extra virgin olive oil makes it a natural for use on the skin. Very high in oleic acid, vitamins A & E and squalene, it is useful in the treatment of acne, psoriasis, and many forms of dermatitis.  Moisturizing and restorative, olive oil has been used for thousands of years in the Middle East, Africa and the Mediterranean as a natural moisturizer, cleanser and antibacterial agent. When used to make soap, olive oil based soaps are well known for their mild cleansing characteristics. This great oil can be found in our Original Lip Balms, Calendula Super Salve, and makes for a great gentle cleanser in our Natural Soaps.
