I hate to toot our own horn but one of the main benefits you’ll find from our products is the fact that we never use synthetic fragrances and our products still smell pretty darn awesome. Early on we decided to always use the more expensive essential oils, both for their great natural fragrances but also for the benefits of the properties they bring from their natural source. They just make a better product.
So what does this mean for you the consumer? Well, you have the comfort of knowing that everything you smell in a G.B. Proudfoot’s product was never synthesized from a mix of petrochemicals and you don’t have to worry about what toxins you may be absorbing into your skin, hooray! Unfortunately, it also means we’ll never carry a product bearing a “rooty tooty fruity” description, as scents like pineapple, cherry and even strawberry just don’t work that well when distilled from a natural source.
So why all this talk about what your sniffer may be picking up? We’ll we’re pretty chuffed about how popular our Rosemary & Mint Old Fashioned soap is but we do occasionally find people who just don’t dig rosemary. Of course we offer an unscented version of our Old Fashioned Liquid Soap (great for baby baths and for those with sensitive sniffers) but in a continued effort to please our customers we’ve decided to get moving on adding additional essential oil scented liquid soaps to our lineup. Citrus lovers rejoice, licorice lovers unite, eucalyptus fans it’s time to start celebrating! These new soaps are going to knock your socks off! OK, maybe we’re getting a little bit excited, but we promise they’ll make it that much easier to get out of bed and into the shower in those wee hours of the morning. Check back in March for the introduction of these great new varieties of our skin soothing natural liquid soap.
As always, we love feedback so feel free to let us know if there is a particular essential oil that you would like to see us use? If we get a consensus on it we’ll be happy to include it in our lineup!
