In our never ending quest to support local businesses and producers, we’ve recently added two new local ingredient suppliers to our list! You can now find Arizona grown and harvested Beeswax, Honey and Extra Virgin Olive Oil in our products.
If you don’t know, we go through an awful lot of beeswax around here, and we’re happy to say that Arizona’s own Crockett Honey Co. is now supplying us with their exceptional beeswax. Crockett, a family owned and operated business, has been providing Arizona with its Arizona harvested, desert blossom and other honeys since 1945. If you live in the State you’ve probably seen their honeys in your local supermarket. We’re happy to say you can now find their beeswax in G.B. Proudfoot’s products like our Calendula Super Salve, Calendula Stick Balm, Rugby Balm Muscle Rub, Hair Styling Wax, and all our great Lip Balms. Their fantastic honey is now in our Lemon & Honey Sugar Scrub. Crockett processes its honey in Tempe and their hives are located along the Colorado River in Parker, AZ. They are big proponents of responsible and ethical Bee Management so if you haven’t given their honey a try why not and support your local bee?
Queen Creek Olive Mill, Queen Creek, AZ
If you haven’t made the trip out to the Queen Creek Olive Mill, you need too. As “Arizona’s only working olive mill & farm” Queen Creek Olive Mill produces some phenomenal hand crafted extra virgin olive oil (yeah foodies!). Its also a fantastic way to spend an afternoon, touring their mill and farm, sampling their fantastic products and just enjoying some of the beauty of Queen Creek’s farm country. Their venue is top rate as you can purchase some delicious nosh from their kitchen, hang out at one of their picnic tables and just enjoy the heck out of the day. More good news! The same 1st pressing extra virgin olive oil that you can eat and enjoy can now be found in our Calendula Super Salve, Lip Balms, and all our Natural Liquid Soaps. Extra virgin olive oil is as much of a treat for the skin as it is for the tummy. Full of essential fatty acids and antioxidants it is definitely one of the things that make our products work so great on your skin!
We welcome these two great businesses to our list of local suppliers and we hope you decide to give their (and our) products a try. Supporting American growers, producers, and manufacturers is more important now than it’s ever been. We’re trying to do our part and we’re happy to offer our customers a “local” choice when it comes to their body care needs!
